Courses


IUE 100  Orientation and Career Planning

The course will help students recognize the skills needed for university life and their career goals. These skills include self-awareness, goal setting, time management, effective communication, mindfulness and analytical thinking. The course will also raise students’ awareness on problems such as addiction and bullying.


TRH 101  Princ. of Atatürk and Hist. of Revol. I

This course provides a general information of the events from the end of the 19. century until the end of the Turkish War of Independence and the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923.


TRK 101  Turkish I

Students will be taught how to use the written communication tools accurately and efficiently in this course. Various types of written statements will be examined through a critical point of view by doing exercises on understanding, telling, reading, and writing. Punctuation and spelling rules, which are basis of written statement, will be taught and accurate usage of these rules for efficient and strong expression will be provided.


ING 101  English I

This is a compulsory English course which provides basic language skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking at the beginning level.


MBP 105  Essentials of Programming

The content of this course includes programming languages, concepts, visual programming, object oriented design and also programming labs.


MMAT 115  Mathematics

Learning of description of basic number concepts, instantiation of numbers, sets, inequalities, problems, equations, functions ve trigonometry


MBGT 101  Computer Hardware

In this course, the general computer system will be discussed in terms of various sub topics including main hardware components, the maintanance and management of computer systems


MBGT 103  Network and Security I

This course focuses on the security issues in computer systems and computer networks


MBGT 102  Operating Systems

Operating system structures. Process management. Memory management. File systems. Disks. Input/Output systems.


MBGT 104  Computer Networks

Fundamental concepts of computer networks. OSI modelling. Network topologies. Network devices. Network and cross cables. 5-4-3 (network extension) rules. IEEE 802 standards. TCP/IP protocol and its operation principles. LAN, WAN and internet principles.


MBGT 106  C Programming Language

This course includes the ability to write programs using the basic features of C language, data types, program flow controls, functions, and the ability to work with files.


MBGT 108  Database

The main content of this course is to ensure that students have detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the design and programming processes of database systems.

ING 102  English II

This is a compulsory English course which provides basic language skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking at the beginning level.


TRH 102  Princ. of Atatürk and Hist. of Revol. II

With special reference to the Principals of Atatürk the course will examine the philosophy of the foundation and existence of the republican regime as well as the democratic developments in secular Turkey during the twentieth century and in the era of extending globalization.


TRK 102  Turkish II

Students will be taught how to use the written communication tools accurately and efficiently in this course. There will be exercises on understanding, telling, reading, and writing; types of speeches (panel, symposium, conference, etc.) will be introduced; the student will be equipped with information on using body language, accent and intonation, and presentation techniques.

This course includes the topics of information technology and management, process control and procedures, institutional level controls and the environment of information technology.


MBGT 206  Security Network Designs and Internet Access

The components that make up a security network, the variety of security systems, the internet access of security networks


MBGT 208  Network Security Application

Knowledge on modern network security concepts. Lan, Wan, TCP/IP concepts. Cryptography and authentication. Firewalls, Antivirus software. Phishing. Man-in-the-middle attack. DNS spoofing, ARP spoofing. DDoS attack. VPNs and their security. HTTPS, SSL.
