Learning of description of basic number concepts, instantiation of numbers, sets, inequalities, problems, equations, functions ve trigonometry
The course will help students recognize the skills needed for university life and their career goals. These skills include self-awareness, goal setting, time management, effective communication, mindfulness and analytical thinking. The course will also raise students’ awareness on problems such as addiction and bullying.
Basic AutoCAD commands. Projections of drawings. Perpectives of drawings. Basic view of drawings. Cross sectioning.
Conductor connections. Usage of measurement instruments. Setting up serial and parallel circuits. Grounding connections. Setting up temperature, humidity, velocity/vibration, pressure, fluidity, and level sensors.
The methods of obtaining electrical power. Thermal power plants. Nuclear power plants. Hydroelectric power plants. Renewable energy power plants. Surge protectors. Fuses.
The content of this course are the knowledge and application of fundamental laws of electric and electrical installation types.
This course provides a general information of the events from the end of the 19. century until the end of the Turkish War of Independence and the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923.
Students will be taught how to use the written communication tools accurately and efficiently in this course. Various types of written statements will be examined through a critical point of view by doing exercises on understanding, telling, reading, and writing. Punctuation and spelling rules, which are basis of written statement, will be taught and accurate usage of these rules for efficient and strong expression will be provided.
This is a compulsory English course which provides basic language skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking at the beginning level.
With special reference to the Principals of Atatürk the course will examine the philosophy of the foundation and existence of the republican regime as well as the democratic developments in secular Turkey during the twentieth century and in the era of extending globalization.

Magnitudes used in alternating current. Basic components of alternating current circuits. One and three phase alternating current circuits. Circuit analysis with complex numbers. Calculation and measurement of active, reactive and apparent power in one and three phase alternating current systems. Alternating current magnetic circuits.
The control of speed and moment of direct current generator and motors and the selection of proper machine for necessity. Electric, mechanic and electromagnetic energy conversion. Construction calculations of transformers, equivalent circuit analysis and application areas, providing maintenance and operation sustainability.
Internship, covers field experience at any work place. Students should follow the instructions stated in IUE Internship Guide in order to successfully complete their internships.
Structure, operation principle and equivalent circuit of asynchronous machines. Moment and efficiency. Starting. Moment conversion and decision to proper machine. Structure and operation principles of synchronous machines. EMF value. Equivalent circuit of alternators. Parallel operation conditions and active-reactive load sharing. Starting of synchronous machines and effects of changing of excitation current on synchronous machines.

Fundamental power electronics circuits. Structures and usage of diode, tristor, triac, GTO, Darlington BJT, Mosfet, IGBT. AC-AC, AC-DC, DC-AC converters.
Content of this course are; fundamental rules of digital electronic, numeric systems related digital logic circuits, working of logic circuits, boolean expressions and use boole expressions in digital circuits, working principals of combinational circuits.
