Course Objectives With this course, the student will be given the methods of obtaining electrical power, operation of power plants, failures of power plants, select and assembly the protection relays, installation of the surge protectors and fuse.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To be familiar with the methods of obtaining electrical power
  • To be familiar with the operation of thermal power plants
  • To be familiar with the operation of nuclear power plants
  • To be familiar with the operation of hydroelectric power plants
  • To be familiar with the operation of renewable energy power plants
  • To be familiar with the failures of power plants, to select and assemble the protection relays
  • To install surge protectors and fuses
