    Course Objectives The aim of this course is to give knowledge on fundamental computer networks, their operation principles, physical devices used in networks, cabling types, network topologies and installation.

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • To have knowledge on the devices that required for connection
    • To have knowledge on computer network topologies
    • To be able to install computer networks
    Course Description Fundamental concepts of computer networks. OSI modelling. Network topologies. Network devices. Network and cross cables. 5-4-3 (network extension) rules. IEEE 802 standards. TCP/IP protocol and its operation principles. LAN, WAN and internet principles.
