The researcher received a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture from Yaşar University in 2009 and completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Interior Architecture at the same university in 2013 with a full scholarship. The master’s thesis, titled “An Investigation of Cabinet Units in Traditional Turkish Houses: The Case of Kula,” focused on the analysis of built-in storage elements in traditional dwellings. In 2011, he was awarded the “Outstanding Graduate Award of the Faculty of Architecture” by the Rectorate of Yaşar University and began working in the same year as a Research Assistant in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.
Since 2019, he has been continuing academic work at İzmir University of Economics, Vocational School, Architectural Restoration Program, serving as both Lecturer and Program Coordinator.
His academic work primarily focuses on the conservation, documentation, and adaptive reuse of cultural heritage at both national and international levels. In this context, the researcher has contributed to numerous restoration projects across Anatolia—particularly in İzmir—where historic buildings have been repurposed as museums, hotels, social facilities, and residential spaces. Additionally, he is among the founding members of an academic research group dedicated to the conservation of historic structures and has played an active role in all phases of a high-budget scientific research project on the use of terrestrial laser scanning technologies for cultural heritage documentation.
In addition to academic work, he has received exhibition awards in national photography competitions.
