This course includes shoes manufacturing steps, foot anatomy, mold production systems and mold terminology.


MATU 105  Foot Anatomy and Ergonomics

This course includes foot analysis, foot measurement, foot illustration, basic information about the anatomy such as the bone structure of the foot.


MATU 107  Footwear Pattern Making I

The course of content is issues such as shoe molding, stamping dimensions, shoe models.


MATU 109  Basic Art Education I

The content is basic art definition, dot-dash, light-dark, ışıkgölg, the form, shape, texture, structure, issues, perspective

Presentation of Administrative Units, Academic Units and Student Clubs


TRK 100  Turkish

Students will be taught how to use the written and verbal communication tools accurately and efficiently in this course. Various types of verbal and written statements will be examined through a critical point of view by doing exercises on understanding, telling, reading, and writing. Punctuation and spelling rules, which are basis of written statement, will be taught and accurate usage of these rules for efficient and strong expression will be provided. As for verbal statement, students will be taught how to use the body language, use accent and intonation elaborately, and use presentation techniques.

TRH 100  Principles of Atatürk and History of Revolution

MYST 104  Summer Training (4 weeks)

Internship, covers field experience at any work place. Students should follow the instructions stated in IUE Internship Guide in order to successfully complete their internships.


MATU 201  Introduction to Design Management

This course includes concepts of design management, competition strategies, concept of innovation, new product development, planning in the design department, implementation and supervision.


MATU 203  Computer Aided Drawing Techniques II

This course includes the student's ability to draw and color shoe design presentation papers in a computer program.


MATU 205  Computer Aided Fotwear Pattern Making I

Shoemaster- Working principles of the power module, functions, profile preparation, model drawing on profile, stamping, preparation of liner stamp.


MATU 207  Computer Aided Industrial Design I

This course covers the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare shoe design in the Creative module of program. It includes creating libraries, modifying templates and modifying templates, registering prepared projects, rander processes.

This course includes collection preparation techniques according to different market segments.
