    Course Objectives With this course, the student will be able to determine effects of section properties on the strength of materials and to make section analysis for resultant effects.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Will be able to calculate center of gravity of sections of construction components.
    • Will be able to calculate moment of inertia of construction components.
    • Will be able to make section analysis calculations of construction components that subject to tension/compression/shear effects
    • Will be able to make section analysis calculations of construction components that subject to deflection.
    • Will be able to make section analysis calculations of construction components that subject to torsion.
    Course Description Center of gravity. Moment of inertia. Tension, compression and shear stresses. Torsion. Unidirectional deflection.
