Course Objectives The aim of this course is to provide students with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills at the beginner level (A1 level) in English language.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • communicate at a basic level by asking and answering simple questions
  • Answer questions about very short, simple texts by scanning for specific information,
  • Write a short text including an email, a postcard and a paragraph of present activities by giving information about themselves and/or their immediate surroundings,
  • Fill in forms with personal details,
  • Recognise familiar words and very basic phrases about themselves, their family and immediate surroundings in a simple speech spoken at a slow pace.
Course Description This is a compulsory English course which provides basic language skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking at the beginning level.
