FIRE SAFETY TRAINING AT IUE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
IUE Vocational School Civil Aviation Cabin Services and Civil Aviation Transportation Management Programs students qualified to receive their certificates following a theoretical and practical training course.
The training course addressed topics such as precautions to be taken in building and on plane, action in the event of fire, how to use fire extinguishers, fire support equipment used by cabin crew, description of fire, and components of fire. In addition, a Q&A session was held with students on classes of fire and chemicals used in fire extinguishment. At the end of theoretical training, following an exam, students started a practical training on using a fire extinguisher. Students put out a fire by using fire extinguishers. Mr. Lutfi Sırrı, fire expert who retired from Air Force Fire Specialization Unit, conducted the training.
At the end of the day, all Civil Aviation Cabin Services and Civil Aviation Transportation Management Programs students qualified to receive their Basic Fire Safety Training certificates following a theoretical and practical training course.
