Damla Kales completed her undergraduate education with a first degree in Translation and Interpretation (English). During her undergraduate education, she was an exchange student at the Department of Intercultural Communication at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. In addition, after completing her undergraduate education, she worked as a ground services chief at the Salt Lake City International Airport in Utah, USA, and experienced interpreting during this task. After returning from the USA, she received English Language Teaching pedagogical formation training at Adnan Menderes University and completed this program with a first degree and was entitled to receive the English Language Teaching certificate after her teaching internship. She received her master's degree from Hacettepe University, Department of Translation and Interpretation with her thesis on song translation. Many references were made to Kaleş, who wrote a comprehensive thesis in this field. Currently, she is about to complete her PhD thesis in the Department of Translation Studies at Istanbul University and continues her academic studies in the field of translation technologies, machine translation and the validity and reliability of translation information technologies. While working as a Research Assistant at Izmir University of Economics, Department of English Translation and Interpretation for 11 years, Kaleş took part in two important TUBITAK ( The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) projects in the field of translation studies.In these projects, she wrote academic articles on Plagiarism in Translation and Interpreting in Virtual Worlds and Interpreting Education. Plagiarism in Translation project is in the nature of an expert guide in the legal process in Turkey, and in the project of Interpreting and Interpreting Education in Virtual Worlds, virtual avatars and robots were designed in interdisciplinary work with Izmir University of Economics Computer Engineering, with relevant scenario inventories and interpreting training within the Secondlife game. In addition, Kales won TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Bideb Master's and Doctorate scholarships. In addition to projects in the adventure of academic studies, there are papers, articles and presentations within the framework of current issues of translation. Her research interests include translation studies, interpretation and written translation technologies, audio-visual translation, song translation, and plagiarism in translation. She has certificates and trainings on translation technology and language education applications. She is currently working as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Applied English Translation at IUE Vocational School.

Filiz Mergen completed her primary and secondary school education in İzmir. She graduated from Ege University, Department of English Language and Literature in 1990. She started teaching in the same year. Between 1993-1995, she worked as an English teacher at Turkish Air Force Language School. She attended an in-training teacher development course at Lackland Air Force Language School in San Antonio, Texas, U.S.A in 1995 and taught English to international learners. She joined IUE in 2001-2002 Academic year. She had administrative duties besides teaching between 2001-2013. She attended a teacher training program in Kent University in Canterbury, England in 2006. She got her teacher trainer certificate from British Council in 2006. She completed her M. A. in 2010 and Ph.D in 2016 in linguistics. She is currently teaching in the Department of Applied English and Translation at the Vocational School. Also, she teaches elective courses in Psychology Department. She has publications and conference papers on psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, cognitive aspects of bilingualism, mneumonics and translation training.

In 2011, she completed undergraduate degree in Selçuk University Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department. She has completed master degree graduate studies at İzmir University of Economics Graduate School In Architecture .She worked at various architecture companies between 2011-2013. Her work includes housing, ecological housing, yacht design, hotel architectural projects and interior design projects.She started her academic career as a Research Assistant in the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department of Osmaniye Korkut Ata University.Since 2016, she has been working as a lecturer at the Architectural Restoration Program of Vocational School of Izmir University of Economics.

Lecturer Çiğdem Bilal graduated from Anadolu Unıversty, Department of Civil Aviation Transportaion Management in 2002. She started to work as an operation officer at MNG Airlines Antalya station in 2002 and than she continued to work at coordination department and operation supervisor. In 2006, she worked for Inter Airlines as Traffic Rights Officer for a short time. She worked for 16 years at the Ankara Tav Esenboğa Terminal Operation Center. At the same time, she was a part time lecturer at Atılım Universty, Aviation Management Department between the years of 2016-2022. In October 2022, she started to work as lecturer at Izmir Universty of Economics, Civil Aviation Cabin Services program. As of 2020, she started her master program at Anadolu University, in the field of Civil Aviation Management.

Born in İzmir in 1986. She completed her high school education in İzmir Özel Türk Science High School. In 2009, she completed her undergraduate thesis study about ‘Examination of Children’s Healthcare Environments with Regard to Evidence Based Design’ and graduated from Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department of Fine Art and Design Faculty in İzmir University of Economics with first degree. In 2012, she completed her graduate thesis study about ‘Children’s Hospital Schools as Social Environments and Their Effects on Healing and Well-being’ and graduated from Design Studies Master Program of The Graduate School of Social Sciences in İzmir University of Economics with third degree. From 2009 to 2011 she worked as an Interior Designer in their family office Dikmen İnşaat. In 2019, she completed her dissertation about ‘Children’s Outdoor Experiences in Urban Environments’ and graduated from İzmir İnstitute of Technology Architecture department. From 2011 to 2015 she worked as a Research Assistant in İzmir University of Economics in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design department. Starting from 2016 she continues working as a Lecturer Architectural Restoration Program and as a Program Coordinator in Interior Design Program in Vocational School in Izmir University of Economics.

Ilker YALÇIN was born in 1990 in Karabük. He completed his undergraduate education in Karadeniz Technical University Department of Forest Industrial Engineering between 2008-2012. He completed his master's degree at Forest Industrial Engineering Department of Karabük University. He is completed his Ph.D. education at Karabük University Department of Forest Industrial Engineering. As of 2016, he joined the faculty of Izmir Economy University Vocational School Furniture and Decoration Program.

She completed her undergraduate studies in 2011 at Gazi University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. She then received her master’s degree in 2015 from Marmara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema with her thesis titled “Violence in Turkish Cinema after 2000.” She completed her doctoral studies in 2023 at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University with the dissertation “Marriage in Turkish Cinema (1960–1980) within the Framework of Structure and Agency.” Keleş has served on the organizing committees of the International Cinema and Philosophy Symposium and the International Philosophical Films Festival, and has been teaching courses in cinema, video, and screenwriting since 2016. In addition to her academic work, Keleş has taken part in short film, documentary, television series, and video art projects, and has also served as a jury member in various national and international film festivals.

Semra Keleş continues to actively pursue her academic and artistic work in the field of cinema.

She returned to Turkey in 2014 and started her postgraduate degree in Art and Design. In 2016, she completed her Master degree with her thesis on "History of Sound Design and Current Approaches". She completed her PhD studies in Art and Design at Dokuz Eylül University. In addition to her academic works, she also has worked in many short films, documentaries, commercials and feature films in Australia and Turkey.

Lecturer Edit HABİF graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Tourism and Hotel Management in 2012 with third degree. After her graduation, she worked in various positions at Swissotel Büyük Efes, İzmir in Sales and Marketing department. In 2014 she started to work as lecturer at Izmir University of Economics, Vocational School, Tourism and Hotel Management program. In the same year, she started her graduate education in Business Administration at Dokuz Eylül University. As of 2017, she started her PhD at Dokuz Eylül University in the field of tourism management.
