Ocupational Health and Safety program students in TUPRAG gold mine
Student of Izmir University of Economics, Vocational School Occupational Health and Safety Program and TUPRAG Metal Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (mining firm) conducted a technical visit to Efemçukuru Gold Mine on 17 April 2019.
Before the site visit started, the officials warned the students about points to take into account while visiting the facilities on and under the gold mine. Students were informed about what to do during a potential dangerous and risky situation.
After receiving training, students put on proper gear and equipment to go visit the underground facilities. Students got a chance to observe the occupational safety precautions and best practices onsite at the maintenance and repair facility for equipment used underground.
After visiting the ore preparation plant, the occupational health and safety unit met with IUE students for briefing.
