Course Objectives This lesson aimed that students win knowledge and skills about Travel Concept andd the History of Travel Agents, Distribution System of Tourism and Travel Agencies, Changes in Traditional Distribution Channels - Tourism, Technological Development and Innovation Effects, Activities of Travel Agents , The Importance of Travel Agencies Management and Management & Leadership Skills, Tour operators and tour wholesalers, Link between tourism and transportation, Evolution of traveler expectations, Sustainable Mobility and Its Implication for Tourism, Tour Planning and Tour Management, The service marketing approach and loyalty-based marketing, National and International Organizations, Legislation on Travel Agencies
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to explain development of the travel industry.
  • Will be able to explain the organizational structure of the companies operating in the travel industry.
  • Will be able to identify the relationship between travel agencies and other tourism businesses.
  • Will be able to explain the properties of package tour.
  • Will be able to sort of professional organization related to travel and tourism.
