Course Objectives This course focuses on the airports and systems in airports. Airports classification, organization and management of airports will be defined. Airport elements, airport operations and services, international standards and practices of the airport will be learned. Airport management and safety management system will also be examined.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to explain the airport as a system.
  • will be able to describe airport visual aids, the airport reference temperature, altitude, track, traffic control, communications, meteorology.
  • will be able to explain airports classification and certification practices.
  • will be able to explain airport operations.
  • will be able to explain airport density, slots, airport safety management system.
