Academic Staff

Born in İzmir in 1986. She completed her high school education in İzmir Özel Türk Science High School. In 2009, she completed her undergraduate thesis study about ‘Examination of Children’s Healthcare Environments with Regard to Evidence Based Design’ and graduated from Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department of Fine Art and Design Faculty in İzmir University of Economics with first degree. In 2012, she completed her graduate thesis study about ‘Children’s Hospital Schools as Social Environments and Their Effects on Healing and Well-being’ and graduated from Design Studies Master Program of The Graduate School of Social Sciences in İzmir University of Economics with third degree. From 2009 to 2011 she worked as an Interior Designer in their family office Dikmen İnşaat. In 2019, she completed her dissertation about ‘Children’s Outdoor Experiences in Urban Environments’ and graduated from İzmir İnstitute of Technology Architecture department. From 2011 to 2015 she worked as a Research Assistant in İzmir University of Economics in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design department. Starting from 2016 she continues working as a Lecturer Architectural Restoration Program and as a Program Coordinator in Interior Design Program in Vocational School in Izmir University of Economics.

Ilker YALÇIN was born in 1990 in Karabük. He completed his undergraduate education in Karadeniz Technical University Department of Forest Industrial Engineering between 2008-2012. He completed his master's degree at Forest Industrial Engineering Department of Karabük University. He is completed his Ph.D. education at Karabük University Department of Forest Industrial Engineering. As of 2016, he joined the faculty of Izmir Economy University Vocational School Furniture and Decoration Program.
