Born in İzmir in 1986. She completed her high school education in İzmir Özel Türk Science High School. In 2009, she completed her undergraduate thesis study about ‘Examination of Children’s Healthcare Environments with Regard to Evidence Based Design’ and graduated from Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department of Fine Art and Design Faculty in İzmir University of Economics with first degree. In 2012, she completed her graduate thesis study about ‘Children’s Hospital Schools as Social Environments and Their Effects on Healing and Well-being’ and graduated from Design Studies Master Program of The Graduate School of Social Sciences in İzmir University of Economics with third degree. From 2009 to 2011 she worked as an Interior Designer in their family office Dikmen İnşaat. In 2019, she completed her dissertation about ‘Children’s Outdoor Experiences in Urban Environments’ and graduated from İzmir İnstitute of Technology Architecture department. From 2011 to 2015 she worked as a Research Assistant in İzmir University of Economics in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design department. Starting from 2016 she continues working as a Lecturer Architectural Restoration Program and as a Program Coordinator in Interior Design Program in Vocational School in Izmir University of Economics.

İlker YALÇIN was born in Karabük in 1990. He received his bachelor’s degree in Forest Industry Engineering from Karadeniz Technical University and completed his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Forest Industry Engineering at Karabük University. He joined İzmir University of Economics Vocational School as a Lecturer in 2016 and was appointed Vice Director of the Vocational School in 2023. Since 2026, he has continued his academic career as an Assistant Professor.

She graduated from the Interior Architecture Department of Istanbul Technical University in 2012. Until 2017, she took part in significant projects at various firms in both Istanbul and Izmir. In 2017, she established her own design office. Between 2018 and 2019, she served as a board member at the Izmir branch of the Chamber of Interior Architects. She is currently working on her own diverse projects in the field, including residential, restaurant, and hotel designs.

Burçin Hancı Geçit was awarded the "Academic Achievement Scholarship" in 2009 and continued her education at Yaşar University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture. She graduated as the top student in her department. In 2012, she completed her master’s thesis titled “Performance Evaluation of Residential Kitchens: Proposals for Sustainable and User-Friendly Design” and graduated (with a full scholarship) from the Interior Architecture Program at Yaşar University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. She has been pursuing her PhD at İzmir Institute of Technology, Department of Architecture, since 2014. Between 2010 and 2018, she worked as a research assistant at Yaşar University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. During this time, she assisted in various applied and theoretical courses, participated in seminars, department promotions, and symposium organizations. Since 2020, she has been working as a part-time Lecturer at İzmir University of Economics. Her research interests include architectural acoustics, room acoustics, environmental acoustics, sustainable design, interior design, and kitchen design.

Simge Yücebaş graduated from the Art and Design programme (taught in Italian) at Yeditepe University’s Faculty of Fine Arts in 2010. She has experience in interior design, implementation, and project management for residential, commercial, and hotel projects. Following her work at Odeion Architecture and Klips Architecture, which she co-founded, she established Sim Living in 2021, where she manages projects from concept development through to turnkey delivery. Her work takes a holistic approach to functionality, materials, detailing, and sustainability.

Gülfem Ergüneş Kütük graduated from İzmir University of Economics with a degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2010. She completed her master’s degree in Design Studies at the same university with a thesis titled “Children’s Participation and Biophilic Design in Preschool Learning Environments. Throughout her career, she has worked at architecture and interior design firms in İzmir on residential, office, hotel, and commercial projects. She has also provided independent project support to architecture firms in 3D visualization and technical drawing. As the founder of GUER INTERIOR, she continues her work in interior design.
