| Course Objectives | The purpose of this course is to examine the National War of Independence, the founding stages of the Republic of Turkey, and the transformation shaped by the Atatürk Reforms through a historical-analytical method, starting from the processes of political, military, and social disintegration in the late Ottoman Empire. The course aims to analyze Atatürk's Principles, Republican modernization policies, and their reflections in legal, political, economic, and socio-cultural fields in light of historical sources. |

| Course Description | This course examines the historical, political, and socio-cultural dynamics extending from the collapse of the Ottoman Empire to the establishment of the Republic of Turkey. The period of the National War of Independence, the founding philosophy of the Republic of Turkey, Atatürk's Principles, and the reforms implemented in line with modernization are addressed through an analytical approach. Furthermore, the political, legal, economic, and social transformations of the Republic, as well as the role of this process in shaping modern Turkey, are evaluated within their historical context. |
