| Course Objectives | This course aims to introduce students to the distinctive characteristics of historical sites and places from different periods, which constitute an integral part of the tourism sector, and to familiarize them with Anatolia’s rich cultural, historical, and architectural heritage. |

| Course Description | The course focuses on fundamental concepts of archaeology and architectural history. It examines the Turkish civilizations that flourished in Anatolia and their works, with particular emphasis on their period-specific characteristics. The course also introduces the concepts of historical sites and places and aims to develop an awareness of the importance of preserving historical and cultural heritage. |
