“Don't be pessimistic, live life to the fullest”

Famous presenter and program producer Saba Tümer came together with Izmir University of Economics (IUE) students at an event themed ‘Change Your Perspective’. Tümer, who shared her university years, the unforgettable memories that shaped her career, and her extraordinary adventures with the young people in a humorous way, made her audience burst into laughter.

Organized by Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Vocational School, the conference named ‘Change Your Perspective with Saba Tümer’ was sponsored by Altınyıldız Classics, one of the pioneers of the men's fashion world. IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar, Director of Vocational School Burçin Önder, academic and many students attended the event held at the IUE Conference Hall.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS

Saba Tümer talked about the preferences that shaped her life and the most unforgettable moments in her professional life, and shared the tips of being successful and happy in life with the students of IUE in the program she prepared herself. At the end of her presentation, Saba Tümer explained to the students the details of the project of Altınyıldız Classics which provides students with an education scholarship, giving priority to part-time work, internship and employment.

EMBRACE HOPE, NOT PESSIMISIM

Emphasizing that she also faced difficulties at various stages of her life, but she worked to reach her target without losing her hope and determination, Saba Tümer addressed the youth and said, “You are much more creative and open to development compared to our generation. Never be pessimistic. In my opinion, there are no failures in life. Failure is when life tells you ‘You're on the wrong track’. Believe that life will bring you opportunities, be sure of that. I have always lived on being different, I went after my goals. You should do the same. Don't miss out on life, live it to the fullest. Value each day of life. If you feel like ‘nothing is changing’, then, just like our motto ‘change your perspective’.  Embrace hope, not pessimism.”
