Course Objectives The aim of the course is to enable students to use their translation theory knowledge in both the practice and criticism of translation.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students will be able to practice translation strategies.
  • Students will be timely and accurate in their translations
  • Students will be able to apply translation criticism proficiently
  • Students will be able to follow appropriate stages in translation process (deciding on the text to be translated, research on topic, terminology, editing etc.)
  • Students will have necessary information to analyze a text
Course Description In this course, written translations from English to Turkish and from Turkish to English in various fields are applied, prepared works are presented, evaluated and criticised.
