Course Objectives	The Turkish Sign Language course aims to develop the skills to communicate with and support individuals with hearing impairments, as well as to understand sign language. Additionally, it seeks to provide greater opportunities for social inclusion for individuals with hearing impairments.
Learning Outcomes	The students who succeeded in this course; develop knowledge, skills, understanding, and competence to communicate easily with individuals with hearing impairments in daily life through sign language. utilize the historical development of sign language as a communicative tool in interdisciplinary studies. discuss the physical conditions and socio-economic issues of individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, and mute in society. use the Turkish Sign Language alphabet and letter signs, basic signs, and grammar rules. acquire the skills to use Sign Language correctly, efficiently, and effectively, and to understand and assist the needs of individuals with hearing impairments. gain the ability to use sign language in daily life with social awareness and language diversity, especially in social environments like hospitals, schools, courts, and police stations. develop the awareness and ability to defend and support the social rights of individuals with hearing impairments and to assist them in social environments.
Course Description	The Turkish Sign Language Course is a program aimed at teaching effective\\ncommunication with individuals who have hearing impairments and\\nteaching sign language. The course content includes the alphabet of sign\\nlanguage, basic concepts, and communication skills. Through practical exercises and role-playing, students gain the ability to understand and use sign language, enhancing their ability to communicate with hearing-\\nimpaired individuals in social and professional environments. This course plays a crucial role in improving communication with and providing support\\nto individuals with hearing impairments, making it indispensable for\\nprofessionals working in fields such as healthcare, education, law, and\\nsocial services.
